Habitat for Humanity in Bend, OR

Smolich Nissan in Bend, OR is proud to announce our partnership with Habitat for Humanity for a special promotion. We will donate $100 to Habitat for each new vehicle sold in the month of December as a way of thanking them for the great work they do to address the local housing crisis head-on.

A recent survey of Bend residents found that affordable housing was their biggest concern. Habitat builds houses for worthy folks who can’t afford their own houses, using 100 percent of all donations it receives – it covers all its operational costs via the Habitat for Humanity storefront. Contractors work with Habitat volunteers to build new houses and sell them to local citizens under very favorable terms. The results are clear: New housing stock enters the market, and responsible folks get a crack at home ownership, often for the first time. In other words, Habitat for Humanity rebuilds neighborhoods and lives.

We are excited about partnering with Habitat, and we’re also excited about spreading the word regarding our rugged Cummins Diesel Titan XD truck, a favorite among contractors once they find out about it. The Titan XD is powered by a 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel that delivers 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque, mated to a robust 6-speed automatic transmission. This is a large, powerful truck, as witnessed by its Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 8,500 pounds. It can tow 12,310 pounds and accepts a maximum payload of 2,590 pounds. Owners compliment the Cummins Titan XD for its upscale interior and comfortable ride. You can choose from three cabin styles, and most models come with an integrated gooseneck hitch, Utili-track bed-channel system, trailer-sway control, trailer-brake controller and waterproof Titan Box storage boxes.
